The Dark Knight Rises Review
As a sequel to “The Dark Knight”, I had extremely high expectations from this movie. Christopher Nolan has yet again lived up to my expectations in “The Dark Knight Rises”. I have never been a follower of Batman comics and cartoon shows etc. But since Batman Begins, I always look forward too watching Batman movies.
A movie is something more than entertainment, it’s an inspiration. Christopher Nolan brings the best mix of Action, Drama, Suspense and Inspiration! Everybody was stunned by the Joker in “The Dark Knight”. Heath Ledger get full credit for The Joker. Villain’s play a very important role in any movie. Bane too lives up to my expectations!
The movie starts where its prequel had end. Harvey Dent is made a hero and Batman had taken the blame of killing Harvey. Except commissioner Gordon, no one knows the truth. Bruce Wayne has gone underground and Wayne enterprise is at its lowest. In the midst of all this, Bane enters the Gotham and causes havoc! Since the Police cannot control crime, Batman plans to return.
By this time, Selina Kyle(catwoman) shows her skills at different times in the first half, surprising Batman himself everytime! Anne Hathway plays a Smart and Sexy catwoman. You just cannot take your eyes off her when she is on the screen. Catwoman, however, betrays Batman several times. Christian Bale as always is phenomenal in his performance throughout the movie. Batman tries to take Bane head-on. In a fight with Bane, Batman breaks his back, Bane defeats Batman, imprisons him in a pit called “Hell on Earth!!” Now with Batman gone, Bane blows the city!! releases the prisoners of Gotham City and there is chaos everywhere.
Bane has been a member of League of Shadows. Trained under Ras Ul Ghul, Bane takes up the responsibility of destroying Gotham. In his plan, Bane converts a nuclear reactor into a bomb which is soon to explode. Bruce Wayne with time prepares himself to get back to the city. This is the same prison from where Bane had escaped. Bruce believes him(Bane) t be the only child ever escaping the prison, the child of Ras Al Ghul!
After many attempts Bruce is able to get out of the prison. His girlfriend Miranda(also now owner of Wayne enterprise) is with Bane. Batman has to save the city and save his girlfriend. John Blake(Robin) is another new character. He plays a good supporting role. So, Batman, Catwoman and John with commissioner Gordon stand between Bane and the innocent people. Christopher has an amazing suspense which he reveals in the war, I was completely stunned! I will leave the suspense and the climax for you to see 😉
So, in conclusion, The Dark Knight Rises is a MUST WATCH for all. hats off to Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine etc to make a fantastic movie with a very string storyline. I give a 9.9/10 for “The Dark Knight Rises” and Thumbs Up !
